Atelier
The hand is the measure.
A machine can repeat a gesture. Only a hand knows when to slow. The PLUMA atelier is built around four motions — weaving, finishing, sewing, embroidery.
Weaving
The warp is tensioned until it sings. The weft passes slowly enough for the cloth to take on a body. We choose density by what the bed and the body require: drape for a sheet, body for a pillow, warmth for a blanket, thirst for a towel and a robe. No weave is identical to the last — and that is not an error.
Finishing
Finishing is the moment the fibre remembers it will meet skin. Washing, drying, stretching, sometimes a soft brush. The aim is not artificial smoothness but friendship: that the sheet yield on the first night, the pillow remain faithful, the bathrobe open without effort — and stay so for years.
Sewing
A hidden stitch is a stitch that honours sleep and the bath. Hems measured in millimetres, pillow corners that hold without announcing themselves, a bathrobe belt chosen because it is quiet. Sewing is not ornament on the cloth. It is how cloth keeps form without losing air.
Embroidery
If there is a monogram, it is almost unseen. Thread of the same light-weight as the cloth, a letter that rests and does not shout. Embroidery here is a private signature — not a trademark across the blanket, the pillow, or the robe.
